FAQ
A ranking board for challenge ideas. You are shown two, you pick one, and that result moves both of their ratings. The order of the board is the sum of every pick made on it.
Elo — the rating system used for chess. Beating a higher-rated idea moves you more than beating a lower-rated one. Everything starts level, and nothing is ordered by hand.
No. Every idea in the pool is alcohol-free, and there is no public submission route through which one could be added.
No. There are no timers, no deadlines and no 24-hour clock. That was the dangerous part of the format this site is named after, and it is not here.
No. You can vote forever and never take part in anything. Declining a nomination costs nothing and is never made public.
No. Voting is anonymous — no sign-up, no login, no profile. A vote records the two ideas, their ratings before and after, and the requesting IP address for rate limiting.
Yes, by email. There is no suggestion form on the site: nothing reaches the board automatically, so an idea only appears if it is added to the seeded pool.
Because that is not built. There is no nomination link, no counters and no messaging — this site never contacts anybody on your behalf. Nominating currently means telling your friend yourself.
Not necessarily. The board is drawn from the database at load time, so an unseeded pool shows as an empty board rather than as placeholder rows.
